2Beloved, I wishaboveall thingsthatthoumayest prosperandbe in health, even asthysoulprospereth. 3ForI rejoicedgreatly, when the brethrencameandtestified ofthe truth that is in thee, even asthouwalkestinthe truth. 4I havenogreaterjoythanto hear that mychildrenwalkintruth.
5Beloved, thou doestfaithfullywhatsoeverthou doesttothe brethren, andtostrangers; 6Whichhave borne witnessof thycharitybeforethe church: whom if thou bring forward on their journeyaftera godly sort, thou shalt dowell: 7Because thatforhisname’s sakethey went forth, takingnothingofthe Gentiles.
8Wethereforeoughtto receivesuch, thatwe might befellowhelpers to the truth. 9I wrote untothe church: butDiotrephes, who loveth to have the preeminenceamong them, receivethusnot. 10Wherefore, ifI come, I will rememberhisdeedswhichhe doeth, prating againstuswithmaliciouswords: andnotcontenttherewith, neitherdothhe himselfreceivethe brethren, andforbiddeththem that would, andcasteth them out ofthe church.
11Beloved, follownotthat which isevil, butthat which isgood. Hethat doeth goodisofGod: buthethat doeth evilhathnotseenGod. 12Demetriushath good reportofall men, andofthe truthitself: yea, andwe also bear record; andye knowthatourrecordistrue.
