2 I am the LORDthy God, which have broughtthee out of the landof Egypt, out of the houseof bondage.
3Thou shalt have no othergodsbefore me.
4Thou shalt not makeunto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heavenabove, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the waterunder the earth:
5Thou shalt not bow downthyself to them, nor servethem: for I the LORDthy God am a jealousGod, visitingthe iniquityof the fathersupon the childrenunto the thirdand fourth generation of them that hate me; 6And shewingmercyunto thousandsof them that loveme, and keepmy commandments.
7Thou shalt not takethe nameof the LORDthy Godin vain; for the LORDwill not hold him guiltlessthat takethhis namein vain.
8Rememberthe sabbathday, to keep it holy. 9Sixdaysshalt thou labour, and doall thy work: 10But the seventhday is the sabbathof the LORDthy God: in it thou shalt not doany work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: 11 For in sixdaysthe LORDmadeheavenand earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and restedthe seventhday: wherefore the LORDblessed the sabbathday, and hallowed it.
12Honourthy fatherand thy mother: that thy daysmay be longupon the landwhich the LORDthy Godgiveth thee.
13Thou shalt not kill.
14Thou shalt not commit adultery.
15Thou shalt not steal.
16Thou shalt not bearfalsewitnessagainst thy neighbour.
17Thou shalt not covetthy neighbour’shouse, thou shalt not covetthy neighbour’swife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour’s.
18And all the peoplesawthe thunderings, and the lightnings, and the noiseof the trumpet, and the mountainsmoking: and when the peoplesaw it, they removed, and stoodafar off. 19And they saidunto Moses, Speakthou with us, and we will hear: but let not Godspeak with us, lest we die. 20And Mosessaidunto the people, Fearnot: for Godis cometoproveyou, and that his fearmay be before your faces, that ye sin not. 21And the peoplestoodafar off, and Mosesdrew nearunto the thick darknesswhere God was.
22And the LORDsaidunto Moses, Thus thou shalt sayunto the childrenof Israel, Ye have seenthat I have talkedwith you from heaven. 23Ye shall not makewith me godsof silver, neither shall ye makeunto you godsof gold. 24An altarof earththou shalt makeunto me, and shalt sacrificethereon thy burnt offerings, and thy peace offerings, thy sheep, and thine oxen: in all placeswhere I recordmy nameI will comeunto thee, and I will bless thee. 25And if thou wilt makeme an altarof stone, thou shalt not buildit of hewn stone: for if thou lift upthy toolupon it, thou hast polluted it. 26Neither shalt thou go upby stepsunto mine altar, that thy nakednessbe not discovered thereon.
