The Spiritof the LordGOD is upon me; because the LORDhath anointedme to preach good tidingsunto the meek; he hath sentme to bind upthe brokenhearted, to proclaimlibertyto the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;
To proclaimthe acceptableyearof the LORD, and the dayof vengeanceof our God; to comfortall that mourn;
To appointunto them that mournin Zion, to giveunto them beautyfor ashes, the oilof joyfor mourning, the garmentof praisefor the spiritof heaviness; that they might be calledtreesof righteousness, the plantingof the LORD, that he might be glorified. 4And they shall buildthe oldwastes, they shall raise upthe formerdesolations, and they shall repairthe wastecities, the desolationsof manygenerations. 5And strangersshall standand feedyour flocks, and the sonsof the alien shall be your plowmenand your vinedressers.
But ye shall be namedthe Priestsof the LORD: men shall callyou the Ministersof our God: ye shall eatthe richesof the Gentiles, and in their gloryshall ye boast yourselves. 7For your shame ye shall have double; and for confusionthey shall rejoicein their portion: therefore in their landthey shall possessthe double: everlastingjoy shall be unto them.
For I the LORDlovejudgment, I haterobberyfor burnt offering; and I will directtheir workin truth, and I will makean everlastingcovenant with them. 9And their seedshall be knownamong the Gentiles, and their offspringamongthe people: all that seethem shall acknowledge them, that they are the seed which the LORDhath blessed.
I will greatlyrejoicein the LORD, my soulshall be joyfulin my God; for he hath clothedme with the garmentsof salvation, he hath coveredme with the robeof righteousness, as a bridegroomdecketh himself with ornaments, and as a brideadorneth herself with her jewels. 11For as the earthbringeth forthher bud, and as the gardencauseth the things that are sownin it to spring forth; so the LordGODwill cause righteousnessand praiseto spring forthbefore all the nations.
